Fri., Sept. 27 - Word 2003 Mail Merge

As you know, the yellow booklets in class were created for Office 200, but during the summer your computers have been upgraded to Office 2003. For much of what we do this is not a problem, but there will be moments when your booklets will not be adequate.

Mail Merge in Word 2003 looks quite different than in Word 2000. Luckily, the on-screen guides are very good, and many of you are working your way through the differences.

If you need a little extra help, we have some extra handouts, and you can find an online tutorial at http://tinyurl.com/yqvejn. Another online tutorial is at Word 2003 in Pictures. Notice, however, that these tutorials do not show you how to create a new list of addressees but assume you have a list already in Excel. You will use Excel in that way in the following exercise.

A third online resource is at Brainbell: Basic Mail Merge.

An advanced tutorial is at bettersolutions.com
