Now that you know the basics of HTML, how it works, how to read the code, how to make minor adjustments, and so on, you are ready to understand what a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML editor like Dreamweaver does.
Note 1 - Although our version of Dreamweaver, known as Dreamweaver MX 2004, is not the latest, it is excellent. In fact, it is only a couple of versions old.
Dreamweaver MX 2004 (Released September 10, 2003. Version 7.0)
Dreamweaver 8 (Released September 13, 2005)
Dreamweaver CS3 (Released April 16, 2007. Version 9.0)
Dreamweaver MX was produced by a company named Macromedia. Several years ago, Adobe, makers of Photoshop and various other high-end programs, bought Macromedia. On your computer, you start Dreamweaver by going to the Start Menu and looking for the Macromedia folder.
Note 2 - Dreamweaver is quite expensive for personal use. However, there are also free and open source WYSIWYG HTML editors, such as Nvu.)
