Universities and college business courses want students who have excellent skills with Excel

After attending a conference on business education a few weeks ago Ms. MacDonald came back with the message that university and business courses are looking for students who have excellent skills with Excel.

You are learning them! When you finish BTA, your skills will be considered very good.

You can be proud that you have worked with Templates, Data Linking, Protection, Conditional Formatting, and with functions like IF and VLOOKUP, and the various techniques of Data Validation, Sorting and Filtering, Goal Seeking, Scenarios and Pivot Tables. Wow! Not many people know all that.

Of course, you won't remember forever every detail of what you learned this year so that you'll have to brush up on some of it later, and you might be required to learn even more about Excel in the future for a job or a course you're taking, but BTA gives you a solid foundation. You will know vastly more than the average person, and quite a bit more than the average office worker. Congratulate yourself!
