Group Project - Hints

1. Do not give up on finding a piece of information until you have looked at all three sources (TSX, company, SEDAR). Forexample, the official address and telephone number of the company's head office can always be found at SEDAR.
   
   
2. Your handout has some sample dates (e.g. Dec. 31, 2004). Note that this is under the heading "Most Recent Financial Information." For you, therefore, you will change the date and find the most recent information.
   
   
3. Be VERY carefully to watch for indicators (e.g. 000) telling you that the numbers you see are in thousands, millions, etc.. The numbers you report must be accurate.
   
   
4. By the end of this week, you and your two partners must meet to compare companies, decide which is the better investment, and which four points of comparison to show in the table of your "Investment Recommendation."
